Kentucky Bluegrass
Kentucky Bluegrass is a type of grass best used in full sun areas. Some benefits to having Kentucky Bluegrass are the amazing color and density. It flourishes in full sun, has an amazing ability to spread, recovers from damages rapidly and has a great tolerance to winter conditions. It is disease resistant and is tolerant to wear and tear. If this sod is laid in shady areas it will not flourish. (See Tall Fescue)
Tall Fescue
Tall Fescue is a type of grass best valued for use in shady areas and its adaptability to a wide range of climates, its tolerances for cold and heat, and drought & shade. It is disease resistant and is a low maintenance cool season grass.
Tall fescue is hardy and can tolerate high activity areas. It is best used for parks, sports fields, and high traffic foot areas.
